With eleven years of experience, Paul Mwirigi Muriungi is one of East Africa’s vastly experienced marketing communications professionals.
As a brand custodian for major local, regional and international brands in Cameroon, Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda, Paul has contributed to various game changing campaigns; as a result he has been recognized by clients and peers for spontaneous creativity, an exceptional work ethic and above par delivery.
Throughout his career, Paul has worked in various senior roles for Knight Frank, TBWA, WPP Scangroup among others and given advice to a diverse portfolio of corporate clients in industries ranging from telecoms, manufacturing, retail, leisure, hospitality to beverages, professional services, banking, insurance and semi-autonomous Government bodies.
Paul holds a B.A. in Social Sciences from MUK, a Certificate in Oil & Gas Studies from MUBS, a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK and a Diploma in PR from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) UK.
Oddly, he dropped out from an ‘MBA for Executives’ class at Strathmore Business School (Kenya) after realising a career in management did not augur well with his ultimate passion.
“My ultimate mission in life is to help brands position themselves for market growth and help the same brands communicate better to their key stakeholders” says Paul who writes regularly in the Ugandan daily New Vision on topics related to marketing communications.
