Cynthia is a communications maven with a colourful international career covering strategic & corporate communications, media & government relations, public affairs, CSR, marketing & brand development, healthcare communications, event organising, advocacy, and digital.
She has led teams with high-profile client portfolios covering West and Central Africa including large multinationals like Coca-Cola, Gold Fields, Google CSquared, HMD Global (Nokia), MAZDA,Samsung, Johnson and Johnson, Turkish Airlines, Unilever, VISA, Vodafone; international organisations like UNICEF, Rockefeller Foundation, FHi360; government agencies like South African Tourism and non-profits like African Media & Malaria Research Network.
Under Cynthia’s leadership, her agencies won local and international awards including African SABRES, Gong Gongs, and PR Excellence awards.
In the US she worked at American University, Smoak PR and Vox Global, a Fleishman Hillard public affairs agency with Fortune 500 clients AT&T, Nissan and non-profits.
During Cynthia’s early career she liaised with pharmaceuticals in the UK, national service at Ghana Ministry of Communications, and worked as junior consultant at ShawbellConsulting.
In academia, Cynthia taught first-year accelerated composition and communications studies at Clemson University, USA.
Cynthia is published in The Journal of College and University Student Housing, USA (2015). She presented at PRSA South East Conference in Florida (2012).
With a Bachelor’s in Economics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Cynthia has a Master’s in Professional Communications from Clemson University.
Cynthia co-founded Ghana’s first private national basketball league and is a member of TEDxAccra.
